Asset Health Specialist

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

The key purpose of the Asset Health Specialist (AHS) is to improve the reliability of FMG’s Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet. The AHS is expected to proactively identify, coordinate & deliver improvement initiatives with an attitude and spirit that embodies the Fortescue Values. Using their experience & technical knowledge to ensure any issues (project-based or otherwise) are quickly identified and resolved through innovative thinking & responsive action.

The role also involves developing and implementing a central Predictive Maintenance Platform (PMP). The PMP monitors and analyses various equipment data, identifies potential equipment defects and, via the Condition Monitoring Analyst team, coordinates the appropriate corrective action. The AHS role encompasses the development of HME health data analytics, in order to identify equipment failure trends and signatures that can be used to prevent the recurrence of similar failures across the mobile fleet.

The AHS also coaches new team members & graduates, coordinates work among stakeholders and freely shares their substantial technical knowledge with the wider engineering team.
