Job Description:
Please note this position is also being advertised as a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) (Team Leader) – CAMHS (527301 & 515557m) and only two positions will be filled on merit.
Team Leader – CAMHS Core Community & Extended Team (North and South)
The Role:
- Provides leadership and direction in the management of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive, specialist child and adolescent mental health services to a designated population group within Tasmania.
- These positions will each lead a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals working in community-based services with a focus of innovative, outreach or extended service delivery to the most complex child and adolescent mental health presentations.
- They will operationally lead their regional team, working collaboratively with other CAMHS teams and community organisations and contribute to the statewide CAMHS reform goals.
- These positions will work collaboratively to contribute to the expansion of knowledge and ideas in the relevant field by supporting and participating in research and translating evidence into practice.
- They will lead and manage the coordination of the CAMHS team in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework and promote an environment conducive to innovation and change.

Team:
The Tasmanian Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Allied Health Professionals to establish and lead new and existing mental health services as part of the CAMHS service expansion.
Services include:
- Out of Home Care
- Youth Mental Health
- Youth Forensic Mental Health – including Tasmania’s first Multisystemic Therapy Program
- Core Community CAMHS
The Team Leader will lead a multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of high quality, specialised mental health services to children, adolescents/youth and their families/carers in relation to mental health issues in accordance with discipline specific skills and abilities
There is two position available – North (extended team) and South (core community) for:
• Allied Health Professional Manager Level 5, Grade 1(Year 1-2)
• Salary range $135,429 to $136,987 per annum
• Relocation assistance may be available

Details of Appointment:
1 x Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible, located in Northern Tasmania.
1 x Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible, located in Southern Tasmania.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary:
$135,429 to $151,155 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $724 per annum for the ability to accrue fund up to five years
- Post graduate qualification salary advancement where applicable
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Current Driver’s Licence
- Completion of, or progression towards the completion of, a postgraduate qualification relevant to the position
