Circulation Assistant duties include: helping students, faculty, staff, and the public locate materials in the catalog and in the library; checking in/out materials; answering calls to the Legal Information Center; assisting with library projects (shelving, shelf reading, etc.) as needed; handling requests and occasional complaints.

Some job duties may involve prolonged periods of sitting at the front desk.

Student workers are hired on a semester-by-semester basis, with the possibility of continuing their positions each semester, based upon their work performance and the library’s budget.

Work location: Legal Information Center

Two shifts available: (1)Sundays 12pm-9pm and (2) Mon-Thur

Strong customer service skills are required. The ability to follow directions from managers and maintain good attendance is essential.

Library experience is preferred, but not required
