Mining Engineer \u2013 Short Term Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work location: <\/strong>Christmas Creek - Fortescue\u2019s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.<\/p>\n

Roster:<\/strong> 8D\/6R FIFO ex. Perth<\/p>\n

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Daily Planner to join our Christmas Creek operation. This role will responsible for planning and executing the daily mine and blend plans to achieve rail quality conformance.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Delivery a daily mine plan that schedules resources safely and efficiently, enabling Mining Operations to meet required targets<\/li>\n
• Schedule development works<\/li>\n
• Reconciliation of daily plan to two-week plan<\/li>\n
• Maintain key relationships with Mining Operations, Mine Control and Processing personnel<\/li>\n
• Must be capable of understanding design standards, procedures and mine physical<\/li>\n
• Deliver operational mine designs including ramps, roads, waste dumps <\/li>\n
• Haulage scheduling, optimisation, waste dump designs and schedules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Tertiary education in Mine Engineering (or similar)<\/li>\n
  • Experience in Open Pit mining operations, design, scheduling and planning<\/li>\n
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders<\/li>\n
  • Manual Driver's Licence<\/li>\n
  • Desirable \u2013 Experience with Alastri or other mine scheduling products, Vulcan <\/li>\n
  • Desirable \u2013 Quarry Managers ticket<\/li>\n
  • Desirable \u2013 Capability in programming languages <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
