Camp Cloverleaf Resident Director

Job Description:
- Work cooperatively with the State 4-H Headquarters to provide leadership for the program, budget planning/accounting procedures and management operation of the camp, including the supervision of camp staff. Provides professional program guidance and support to IFAS Extension faculty in planning, conducting and evaluating the 4-H Youth Development Residential Camping Program that is conducted throughout the year

- Communicate with State 4-H Headquarters and County faculty to establish educational objectives and supportive educational activities as well as assignment of educational staff and scheduling of facilities. Maintains records, inventories, reports and handles all paperwork required by State 4-H Headquarters for proper business procedures. Manages, supervises and participates in safe environment and maintains responsibility for the security of the camp.

- Responsible for marketing the camp facility to 4-H, University Organizations, and to outside user groups, including schools, businesses, church groups, government agencies, etc. In cooperation with the State 4-H Headquarters, seek outside funds for attainment of facility and program improvements. While supervising the camp staff, may also be called upon to participate in program, maintenance, repair, cleaning and grounds work as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by State 4-H Headquarters.

Advertised Salary:

Starting at $44,700 annually; commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Valid Florida driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess a degree in education, recreational leadership, youth development, business, natural resources or other related fields. Must have good people skills with both youth and adults. Must work well independently with minimum supervision. Computer, good verbal, and written skills a plus. Must reside on Camp Cloverleaf premises in Lake Placid, Florida.

Boaters Safety Certification or Captain’s Certification – preferred
Lifeguard – preferred
First Aid – preferred
