Salary: Up to £53,000 / €82,400 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + car/cash allowance + annual bonus

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working patterns available

Our Engineering & Innovation team is focussed on creating an engineering Centre of Excellence, and drive our innovation agenda. We take responsibility for the resourcing and delivery of all engineering requirements across the capital portfolio, as well as overseeing our Renewables R&D activities with a focus on the future.

What is the Role?

We currently have an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join the Renewables Engineering Civil Team, who’ll be responsible for providing engineering input into our diverse new build project portfolio including onshore and offshore wind farms, hydro schemes and other emerging technologies. The role may also provide opportunities to undertake civil engineering assessments and work on our existing assets.

This role offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to become involved in the full life cycle from conception to decommissioning of large civil infrastructure. Although office-based, you will make frequent site visits and enjoy immense variety in your role due to our unique portfolio of civil assets.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you must be educated to a minimum of degree level in Civil Engineering, and have a comprehensive understanding of legislation, design and operational standards related to civil design and infrastructure. Chartership, or close to sitting your Chartership Professional Review is essential. Experience within Renewable Energy is not essential; however it would be advantageous.

You’ll have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, an innovative mind set, and a flexible approach. Furthermore, you’ll have the capacity to deliver high quality work on a consistent basis in a demanding environment, effectively managing changing business and departmental priorities.

This role will involve travel, therefore it is essential you have a full and valid driving license.
