Salary:£32,800 - £43,385 plus company car and bonus

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours | Flexible Working options available

About the Department

SSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.

What is the Role?

SSE operates the largest Street Lighting Contracting business in the UK, maintaining in excess of 1 million lighting units and street furniture. We currently have a new opportunity for a Team Manager to join our Lighting Services business based at our Taunton depot.

In the role you will be required to plan, organise, lead, monitor and control a Lighting Services operational team. You'll oversee construction and/or maintenance activities to ensure a safe, profitable and responsive service in accordance with the local business plan.

You will work closely with the Contracts Managers on many aspects of the business including, the program of works, managing customers' expectations, financial completion of projects and job closures. You will carry out briefings on procedures, processes and changes within our business, including training.

What do I need?

You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with, and influence, key stakeholders at all levels. You will be a problem solver with the ability to address complex issues making them simple through a well-structured systematic approach, understanding risks and implementing appropriate solutions. You should demonstrate a "can do" attitude and enjoy finding solutions to problems.

Extensive knowledge of the Street Lighting business would be advantageous as would knowledge of key contracts and customer/client base. An awareness of the Company's activities and objectives would be well received as would previous operational experience within Lighting Services or similar contracting activity.

As an individual you will possess supervisory skills and working knowledge of general office applications, MS Project and appropriate Company systems. You should have sound contract administration, financial control and management of contracts and be capable of monitoring quality and safety in the workplace. SMSTS/IOSH qualifications would be desirable.
