About the role
Reporting to the Business Partner for Technology and Betting, Product and Data (BPD), you will be a key member of a high profiled function with a business wide mandate and strong support from Flutter.
The Risk Manager role is integral to how Sportsbet’s Risk and Compliance Frameworks are governed (developed, integrated, embedded and monitored) in line with company-wide expectations
This role makes a significant contribution towards executing Sportsbet’s risk management and compliance strategy and operating model. You will partner closely with our Technology team to help identify and manage risks, and compliance activities, as well as conducting assurance activities to monitor the effectiveness of key controls. This role also supports Line Two accountabilities across key projects and initiatives within Sportsbet’s Technology portfolio, which may include deployment of new processes, products, and technologies.
Your commercial acumen and growth mindset places you well to provide independent opinion and recommendation in an energetic and engaging manner that will result in influencing Sportsbet’s operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with all risk management activities; including identification of risks and controls.
- Conducting line 2 assurance across risk controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Identify and assess delivered risks from changes to technology, products, processes, and the organisation
- Identify and assess risks associated with new or modified third party or outsourced supplier arrangements
- Assessment of compliance with applicable regulatory obligations relating to the use of technology services and third parties
- Development, Enhancement and Embedding the Group’s and Sportsbet’s policies, processes and frameworks
- Delivery of risk and control enablement initiatives to achieve better risk outcomes
- Reporting on risk & compliance management activities to senior stakeholders
- Supporting Sportsbet’s business continuity and disaster recovery activities
- Management of the incident & issue framework, including incident and breach reporting; and track identified control improvements and actions to ensure they are implemented
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- 1-3 years risk management experience, preferably in a technology or cyber security environment, including delivery of risk in change, delivered risk and supplier risk assessments.
- Understanding of risk management concepts and experience implementing risk management frameworks across a technology environment.
- Experience conducting, or responding to, technology audits, with a focus on IT General Controls (ITGC).
- A strong understanding of IT processes, such as ITIL, or similar.
- The ability to adapt to changing business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders including strong report writing and presentation skills.
- A sound understanding and knowledge of the risk and control environment and framework with proven experience in managing technology and operational risks.
- Solid experience in working across complex business environments and diverse stakeholders
