The Role

Our Project Managers here at Sportsbet need to be highly adaptable as our projects are diverse and include product, digital, ‘big data,’ compliance, application, and infrastructure related initiatives. You name it, you could be leading it.

While one of your first projects will see you working with teams across Sportsbet to deliver a world class messaging ecosystem, subsequent projects could be purely business related – so a good mix of technical and business knowledge, together with the ability to adapt quickly to differing environments and stakeholders is paramount to the success of this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Specification and delivery of Projects in alignment with Sportsbet delivery methodology
• Joining the dots within IT to understand the dependencies across multiple initiatives and delivery / business functions
• Articulate the project objectives and success measures – driving clarity from ambiguity
• Responsible for identifying and managing project schedule, dependencies, resourcing, risks and issues and managing any conflicts
• Accountable for the timely and relevant reporting of project progress
• Ensuring projects are properly planned, communicated and monitored throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with the portfolio end to end delivery process
• Ensuring projects are retrospectively reviewed in line with continual improvement process
• Ownership of the delivery experience, including management of key and senior stakeholders
• Stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation

About You

• A passionate Project Manager with a drive for delivering outcomes.
• 5+ years of project management experience ranging from defining scope through to successful delivery and transition to BAU.
• Experience working with a broad range of projects and stakeholders.
• Experience managing projects and programs with multiple streams of work spanning across the entire Business (not purely Technology)
• Successful delivery in a broad range of organisations and practices from start up to large organisations
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills – can manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and influence broadly toward common outcomes
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
• Able to effectively work in ambiguity and appreciates the challenge of working in environments of high variability
• Master of multiple delivery practices including agile practices (e.g. Scrum & Kanban)
• Adaptability and creativity of delivery frameworks based on the needs of the project
• Strong commercial acumen.
