Job Description:
The Role:
- In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.
- Practice in accordance with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives.
- Acts as a Mental Health Officer when required.
- Involve patients/clients and their families/significant others in the planning and implementation of care.
- Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment.

The Team:
The Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health:
- Consistent with ongoing experience, strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals and community sector organisations within the defined community practice area.
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality mental health services, provides a specialist mental health service within the community setting for a designated client group utilising evidence based practices and recovery principles.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
$69,835 to $96,428 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $90,293 - $96,428 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $750 per annum
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Possess specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification

- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
