Job Description:
The role:
Under the general supervision of relevant senior staff, and in accordance with Agency policies and infection control and quality improvement guidelines, the Patient Flow Assistant provides:
- Hospital Aide services, general housekeeping, porterage and equipment provision to the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) campus through the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
- Support and assistance to the Clinical Manager/Patient Flow Managers (including After Hours Nurse Managers) in facilitating the provision of an organisational approach to delivery of care to inpatients across the RHH campus.
- Assistance with the movement of patients through the RHH campus as part of the Transit and Transfer Team.

The area:
The Transit Lounge is a staffed clinical day unit that supports the timely transfer of patients coming into and leaving the hospital.
Details of Appointment
Multiple Permanent Shift worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP
Fixed Term full time, shift-worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from asap for a period of 12 months
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $58,899 - $61,381 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
