The role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of psychometric assessment and therapy to clients of the service. You will provide clinical expertise and evidence-based assessment and trauma informed therapeutic interventions for children, young people who have been impacted by family violence in accordance with organisational policies and relevant professional codes of conduct.
- Work as an effective member of the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) in the Children and Young Persons Program (CHYPP) North West
- Provision of specialist therapeutic service to children, young people and their caregivers effected by family violence, in accordance with best practice principles and within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Provide therapeutic intervention that incorporate psychometric assessment to inform the counselling needs of children and young people affected by family violence.
- Function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
- Oversee all psychometric testing and interpretation undertaken by CHYPP North West.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar part time vacancies.
Location:
Northwest
Base Salary: $101,108 to $112,431 per annum+ 10.5% superannuation
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $109,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
- Relocation assistance for successful applicants
- Support for ongoing professional development including study leave
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional development entitlement of $724 per annum with ability to accrue funds up to five years
- Post graduate qualification salary advancement where applicable
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Current Working with Children Registration
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society, with relevant tertiary qualifications and clinical experience in the human services sector
