Job Description:

The laboratories of Dr. Matthew Gentry and Ramon Sun are seeking multiple lab technicians. The Gentry/Sun Labs are supported through 10+ NIH/foundation grants to perform high impact, basic and translational research on cancer, dementia, and rare genetic diseases. The ideal candidate will join a team of researchers investigating the role of metabolism in maintained different aspects of cellular homeostasis such as lysosomal storage, metabolic channeling, and physiology. Successful candidates should demonstrate traits such as attention to detail; eagerness to learn; reliable, strong work ethic; work well in a team; and a passion to discover the scientific unknown. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a world class mass spectrometry facility that include Bruker TIMS-TOF and Waters hydrogen Deuterium exchange (HDX) MS for high resolution spatial imaging of biomolecules.

Expected Salary:

$15-$18 per hour; commensurate with education and experience; multiple shifts available.

Minimum Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or similar area of study
  • Research experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques, as well as in vivo mouse models
  • Design and execution of experiments & data analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized multi-taker who pays attention to detail and values research integrity.
  • Microsoft office and basic computer skills.
  • Follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently yet be a team player.
