Cyber Security Officer
Work location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday – Friday
Reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Superintendent.
Key accountabilities:
- Monitor the cyber security support request queue and resolve tickets where possible
- Assist with creating a sustainable culture of cyber resilience by driving strong education and training outcomes and assisting with the design and delivery of end user training and awareness
- Contribute to cyber risk assurance by conducting regular simulation phishing and social engineering exercises, technical assurance testing, password assurance testing, and performing due diligence activities
- Contribute to the day to day delivery of cyber security operations
- Support monthly performance reporting including data collection, analysis and documentation
- Contribute to the maintenance and continual improvement of the incident response framework, playbooks and processes
Qualifications and skills required:
- Work experience in information technology role, especially applying information security, risk management and privacy principles
- Expertise across a broad range of technologies, protocols, products and vendors.
- Generalist experience in cyber security education and awareness, organizational culture and communication and marketing
- Technical expertise in system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, etc.)
- Independent judgement and strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and business benefits of potential actions and prioritizing to deliver business outcomes (risk-based decision making)
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences at all levels, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to build credibility and collaboration
- An understanding of organizational mission, values, and goals and consistent application of this knowledge
- An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
- Ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments
- Ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team
