About the Role
The Scholarships and Awards Coordinator (Engagement Lead) is responsible for administering the Faculty of Science’s student awards and scholarships funded through philanthropic income. This includes managing activities associated with the Dean’s Honours List, managing the awarding cycle, coordination and support of awards events, committee support and providing expert advice to staff and prospective applicants of the Faculty’s student awards and scholarships.

The role will coordinate a wide range of communication activities, aimed at promoting Faculty scholarships and prizes, identifying opportunities for promotion, developing strategies and contributing content where appropriate in addition to maintaining web content.

The incumbent is also responsible for leading process improvement activities and contributing to the Faculty’s submission for University endowment reporting.

The successful incumbent will have a demonstrated ability to exercise independent and informed judgement in problem-solving, confidence in making complex decisions and ability to deliver creative solutions and negotiate outcomes.

They will have the ability to identify and contribute to new initiatives, support change suggested by others and identify opportunities to improve processes and practices to reduce inefficiencies.
