Job Description:

Support the planning, implementation, and management of research operations. Translate planning and design decisions into concrete activities and tasks, assign these tasks, and set priorities for their implementation under supervision of the PI. Ensure proper communication among stakeholders, staff, sponsors, and investigators, to coordinate the assigned directives and accomplish deliverables. The work includes monitoring and coordinating research project operations, including project plans, timelines, and tasks. Assist in working with and monitoring the progress of work conducted by subcontractors and associated contractors.

Perform administrative and fiscal tasks pertaining to assignment of research assistants, graduate, and post-doctoral students; travel arrangements and reimbursements; scheduling meetings. Support the education and dissemination efforts, including scheduling and management of workshops and other events, incorporating researchers and trainees.

Develop project outreach materials, including maintenance of the website, newsletters, communiques and reports, and other materials that demonstrate the project’s impact, as well as coordinating research reports and deliverables for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, site visits, program reviews, and other reporting functions essential to the conduct of research and engineering.

Expected Salary:

Level II: $55,000 - $63,000; commensurate with education and experience

Level III: $60,000 - $73,000; commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Level II - Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level III – Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.

The project covers a wide variety of mathematical, scientific, and engineering areas. Experience with scientific or engineering project administration is recommended.

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in both academic and professional environments is recommended.
