Job Description:

Develops & Implements QI Systems

Initiates, develops and directs quality/performance improvement programs and processes. Works with CHEER/project leadership to identify improvement priorities, indicators and relevant metrics, and issues. Oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting related to quality and performance improvement activities. Assists with the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and evaluates the causes behind deviations from and modifications to existing SOPs. Integrates best practices into the design, implementation and evaluation of organizational SOPs.

Implements Improvement Cycles for Identified Issues

Uses the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) quality improvement framework. Monitors data on a weekly basis for the Management Team and at least a monthly basis for the statewide partnership. Uses data to inform progress and identify new practices and strategies needed in the future.

Provide Training on QI Systems to Partners

Trains partners in QI and the PDSA cycle, as well as new strategies identified to address any QI issues.

Attend Project Meetings / Travel to Meet with Program Sites

Works closely with the Project Team/Partners across the state to develop the data collection process to track the progress of the program. All community partners will provide data for quality improvement and evaluation through multiple primary sources, including surveys, outreach event reporting, focus groups, and direct discussions with QI/evaluation staff. Many meetings will take place via Zoom, but in-person site visits across the state will be required to monitor outcomes and propose solutions to QI issues (travel will be reimbursed).

Other QI duties may be assigned as needed.

Expected Salary:

Up to $63,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be able to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excels in a team environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Ability to work effectively and independently.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Master’s in Public Health or other health related professions. Should excel in and facilitate a collaborative environment, and collaborative partnerships with a wide variety of partners (academic, community organizations, community members, healthcare providers, nonprofits, etc.).
