Job Description:

Physical Asset Management - Perform annual inventory of tangible personal property for the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) as required by Florida Statute 273. This entails ensuring scanning of inventory is completed on an annual basis while functioning within the University’s Finance and Accounting asset management processes.

Assist the College and Departments in maintaining compliance with College Attractive Property and Flexibility in the Workplace policies. This includes review of weekly College transaction reports, and coordination with College and Department staff to identify and inventory equipment as appropriate.

Records Management - This position requires knowledge of the University’s Records Management Policies and acts as a College knowledge resource for data retention requirements and procedures. This position will assist departmental personnel in digital and physical data retention and digitization processes, which could range from advising on data retention requirements to practical data scanning and disposal projects.

Assist Departmental personnel in resolving discrepancies in data discovered during the inventory process. Typical discrepancies include erroneous locations, descriptions, serial numbers, and identifying characteristics of the assets. Develop and document procedures for new equipment inventory control. Develop and maintain PHHP system to track new equipment, prepare appropriate reports on equipment, and prepare disposal and equipment transfer forms.

Assist with College responsibilities for Off Campus Certification process.

Expected Salary:

$20.59 - $23.94 per hour, commensurate with education, skills, and experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to organize and coordinate work activities, to perform basic arithmetic, to follow written and verbal instructions, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, to prepare reports and correspondence, to review data for accuracy and completeness, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to organize and file materials. Knowledge of general office procedures and practices, of use of computer, of bookkeeping principles and practices, and of correct grammar usage.
