Job Description:

The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida (UF), a division of the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) within the College of Medicine, is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to provide direct patient-centered medical care for all eligible students at the University of Florida. This position provides clinical care in an ambulatory care setting with a focus on advocating on behalf of students for improved access, quality and cost-effective care. Under the direction of the Director of the SHCC, this position functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures and works collaboratively with the medical staff including Advanced Practice Providers and other staff physicians.

This position will also participate in educational conferences, seminars, and lectures as well as sharing in other faculty duties as assigned. This position is non-tenure accruing. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

Clinical Duties:

This position provides the following medical services: acute illness and/or injury care, chronic disease management and preventative services. Customary faculty duties such as telephone after-hours call and occasional weekend clinic coverage are shared amongst all the providers.

Educational Activities:

There are opportunities to teach residents and medical students on elective rotations during patient care activities at Student Health Care Center. This position will also participate in educational conferences, seminars, and lectures as well as sharing in faculty duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent, board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine and current Florida medical license or eligibility is required. Experience with E.H.R. systems.
