About Melbourne Bioinformatics


Melbourne Bioinformatics (MB) is a vibrant bioinformatics team based at The University of Melbourne in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences. MB plays a pivotal leadership role in accelerating the application of best-practice bioinformatics in the prestigious Parkville Biomedical Precinct and nationally. We do this by delivering key enabling infrastructure as well as teaching, training, community-building, consulting, and engaging in collaborative research.

Melbourne Bioinformatics host the administrative hub of and has a strong synergistic partnership with the leading national bioinformatics infrastructure organisation, the Australian BioCommons.

About the Role
Melbourne Bioinformatics is seeking an experienced leader to fill the position of Operations Manager. This role will provide operational leadership for MB, managing our Office Coordinator and Communications Officer, and working closely with the Seniors Group, Steering Committee, and the Australian BioCommons Operations team.

You will be an experience program and project management professional with a strong knowledge of teaching administration in the university environment. You will be able to draw on your excellent interpersonal skills to positively collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders and communication media.

You will be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to prioritise your own workload, and work independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
