Job Description:

This is an interactive position with interface with patients and physicians and clients from the community. The coordinator will participate in a wide range of activities, including: data collection and entry; creating, collecting and processing clinical surveys, assessments and questionnaires; and collecting patient measurements (including physical function measurements, exercise measures, body composition and motion analyses, other outcome data). He/she attends research meetings and communicates study progress to the research director. He/she communicates and interprets policies and procedures to members of the healthcare team, patients, families and visitors to ensure regulatory compliance and subject safety.

Perform data entry, data processing and filing of patient information/data; database maintenance and troubleshooting. Work in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, REDCap, image analysis (such as radiographs, ultrasounds) and motion analysis processing software programs such as Cortex.  Assist the research director and physicians in the development and submission of research protocols. Assist with scheduling of research participants and clients.

Create, collect, and process IRB and ONCORE documentation, clinical surveys, assessments, and questionnaires.  Collect patient or client data related to clinical research protocols following established guidelines (HIPAA, IRB), collect patient/client and research participant measurements (functional and physiological outcome data). 

Represent the University of Florida, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in regular communications with internal and external research partners including the Institutional Review Board, multisite collaborators, and study sponsors. Monitor participants and study events to recognize and report adverse events and protocol deviations. Prepare site updates and document relevant correspondence for future reference. Manage sponsor site visits and respond to data queries.

Regularly update information related to assigned research projects, and help develop content for presentations and meetings. 

Perform other duties as requested to assure the timely completion of tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Help train Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation interns on activities related to research projects or UF Health Sports Performance Center services, ordering materials necessary for research projects or lab activities and help maintain a safe operational research environment.

Expected Salary:

$60,000 - $65,000 annually; commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Athletic Trainer with BOC certification and FL license or license eligible.

Degree in allied health profession or related field.
