We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join us in North West Tasmania.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist works as part of a multidisciplinary mental health service team in delivering high quality child and adolescent mental health care in accordance with Mental Health Services principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.

Permanent, full time, day work (with on call) position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Base Salary:

Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 - Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $163,005 - $247,768 pro rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation

*Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $234,726 -$247,768 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

    2. sex related offences
    3. serious drug offences
    4. crimes involving dishonesty

  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
