The School of Biomedical Sciences is one of the most prominent and diverse Schools in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences and is comprised of three Departments - Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology, and Microbiology and Immunology.

The School is situated on the University’s Parkville Campus and is part of the largest biomedical precinct in the southern hemisphere, providing access to world class research facilities for staff and students.

About the Role

An opportunity is now available for a Research Manager to join the Coin Laboratory. Reporting to the Laboratory Head, the Research Manager is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of research activities.

This role requires a high level of autonomy and responsibility, interpersonal skills, a collaborative work ethic, and effective communication skills to ensure the success of research outcomes for the Coin Laboratory.

You will be an experienced professional with expertise in managing programs/portfolios and individual projects, from development to the reporting process. You will have high-level organisational and time management skills, including the proven ability to prioritise, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. You will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate, influence, and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
