The Role:

The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.

We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our team on a permanent part time basis. Deloraine is a charming, historically interesting and attractive town located on the banks of the Meander River. It is surrounded by picturesque and pristine country, and has the Raspberry Farm, Van Diemen’s Land Creamery, Ashgrove Cheese, 41 Degrees South and various distilleries and other attractions nearby.

Additionally, we are situated half way between Devonport and Launceston (30 minute drive from each), parking is available on site and free and as a district hospital employee, you’ll be entitled to a zone allowance!

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift work, position working up to 70 hours per fortnight, commencing from 13 November 2022

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $61,385 - $67,982 pro rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging


Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
    1. crimes of violence
    2. sex related offences
    3. serious drug offences
    4. crimes involving dishonesty

  2. Identification check
  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
