About the Role
The primary purpose of this newly created position is to support the Director, Major Initiatives, Partnerships and Government, providing interactions and engagement on behalf of MDHS with key partners. Specifically, to provide strategic project management and relationship support in developing major collaborative impact initiatives arising from the new MDHS Strategic Plan, Advancing Health 2030 and Advancing Melbourne 2030.

Reporting to the Director, Major Initiatives, Partnerships and Government, you will work closely with senior government officials, executives from the Medical Research Institutes, key personnel from health and education precinct partners, leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations from the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, Non-Government Organisations and leading Universities overseas.

You are a self-starter with plenty of initiative who makes a positive, credible impression on others. You possess a demonstrated ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies to gain agreement to proposals and ideas and can confidently convey information in a clear and interesting way across all mediums. If you have a keen interest in keeping abreast of state and federal government affairs relating to higher education, health and medical matters, and are looking for the next challenge this may be the role for you.
