The Role:

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join its expanding rotational program at the Launceston General Hospital. New graduates are welcome to apply! As part of this team you will:

The Team:

The successful applicant will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team working with adult inpatients and outpatients across a range of rotational roles; including general medicine, elective surgery and multi-trauma, stroke unit, rehabilitation and community teams. The applicant will be actively supported through comprehensive induction, formal and informal supervision and ready access to continuous professional development. Recent graduates with undergraduate hospital experience are encouraged to apply.

Details of Appointment

Multiple Permanent, full time, day work, positions working 76 hours per fortnight

Salary: $68,089 - $98,027 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging


Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
    1. crimes of violence
    2. sex related offences
    3. serious drug offences
    4. crimes involving dishonesty
  2. Identification check
  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
