Job Description:

The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Nurse Unit Manager (Team Leader) - Continuing Care vacancy.

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Team Leader - Continuing Care (510935) and only one position will be filled on merit.

The Hobart and Southern Continuing Care Team is based in New Town and is a multi-disciplinary team working with consumers with complex and enduring mental health issues.

An exciting opportunity to lead a team implementing significant changes in how mental health services supports consumers. You will operationally manage a team of committed staff including allied health, nursing, medical and administrative who all share a passion for supporting consumers with complex and enduring mental health concerns.

You will be part of the Continuing Care Service and work alongside other teams as new supportive services within mental health come onboard.

The Nurse Unit Manager (Team Leader) - Continuing Care, as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services (MHS) National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, will provide leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community continuing care team (CCT).

As a member of the MHS South Group Management Committee work effectively in the implementation of strategic direction, review and evaluation of services, development of policies and improvement of business practices across the Southern area.

Details of Appointment:

Permanent, full time, day work position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Base Salary: $116,151 to $121,733 per annum + 10.5% superannuation

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
