Job Description:
The Team
- The Department of Health Research Governance Office (RGO) is a small team within Clinical Quality Regulation and Accretion unit with a state-wide focus and an ambitious reform agenda. The RGO is seeking a suitably experienced candidate to support the conduct of research and clinical trials whilst maintaining a culture of excellence, safety and quality. This is a fulltime position however parttime or job-share arrangements will be considered. The position location is flexible to be based from the North, North West or South of the state.
The Role:
- The position supports the development and effective implementation of information and communication systems for the electronic management of research and clinical trials with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide system support services and specialised well-reasoned and accurate guidance to stakeholders regarding administrative functions for information and communication systems for the electronic management of research and clinical trials.
- Operational participation in change management relating to system upgrades and implementation.
- Participates in state and national committees, and forums to support the conduct and strategic objectives for research and clinical trials within the Tasmanian publicly funded health service and the broader national research reform agenda.

Details of Appointment:
Fixed term, full time day work position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing from ASAP until 31 December 2024
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location:
Hobart
Base Salary: $88,483 to $92,867 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019
Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or demonstratable relevant experience
- Previous experience or contemporary knowledge in research and clinical trials and research governance procedures
- Previous experience using information and communication systems for the electronic management of research and clinical trials, but not essential
