Job Description:

Technical Skills - Develops complex programs. Understands and interprets code from other systems. Proficient with tools and maintains knowledge of and utilizes newest features efficiently. Breadth of technical experience results in solutions to complex problems. Peers seek out for technical review and direction. Selects the appropriate tools for each situation, including making recommendations on code or framework changes. Identifies potential design discrepancies and their impacts and recommends modifications. Tests and debugs code, produces and maintain documentation and conducts application quality assurance. Responsible for software integration, external interface development and technical documentation. Understands quality assurance/testing methodologies. Develops technical documentation (designs, specifications, processes) and communications. Completes design work in a timely fashion, authoring code, unit tests, and system interoperability in a quality manner, acceptable to the customer.

Analysis – Accurately documents and validates a solution with the customer’s current business processes and/or system functionality for one or more departments across the enterprise. Understands how systems contribute to departments’ process workflow(s). Identifies and develops mitigations for potential system impacts across multiple systems. Identifies business process impacts across departments. Identifies and analyzes problems. Participates in the analysis of current IS processes and standards. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs can be written. Provides estimate of the analysis and development effort based on requirements.

Design – Independently designs and documents multiple innovative and practical solutions which are thoroughly researched, includes well-defined costs and benefits and summarizes final recommendations. Effectively facilitates design sessions with customers, teammates, or other stakeholders. Solutions incorporate current industry best practices and standards. Develops mitigation for potential impacts across multiple systems. Assists with recommendations toward the development of new code/data/reports or suggests reuse/enhancement of existing designs or applications. Assesses design options and constructs design requirements for applications. May participate in component and data architecture design, as well as performance monitoring

Proficient with Object Oriented Programming and MVC/MV frameworks
• Experience creating and consuming REST APIs
• Software development cycle management tools (GitHub, Atlassian Suite, etc.)
• Strong organization, communication, and project management skills
• Writing clear, comprehensive technical documentation
• Ability to create functional and visually appealing user interfaces
• Experience with SCRUM methodology
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with CSS v3+ and responsive design
• Proficiency with command line tools
• Experience in producing wireframes and graphic design elements
• Experience with Python/Django

Expected Salary:


Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with common JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, jQuery, Angular, React, etc.
  • Proficiency with common PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Cake, etc.
  • Proficiency in PHP v7+.
