You may have heard that the Department of Communities Tasmania will be disbanded by 30 September 2022. Please be assured that the services that Communities Tasmania provides to the Tasmanian public will be ongoing and dispersed between existing Tasmanian Government agencies and a new Housing Tasmania statutory authority. Any advertised roles and contracts will be honoured in line with current Tasmanian State Service legislation.

This position, currently with Communities Tasmania, will be transferred to the new Department of Education, Children and Young People, as part of the transition of services

About the Team

Children, Youth and Families (CYF) provides integrated programs that support all children, young people, and their families in Tasmania. The Child Safety Service (CSS) is integral to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who are at risk or in crisis, in Tasmania.

The Practice Manager provides day to day leadership and management of all practice within CSS; responsible for promoting and supporting high standards of ethical practice though mentorship, consultation, critical reflection on practice and practice support, to Practice Leaders.

Desirable Requirements: Current Drivers Licence; A relevant tertiary qualification supported by substantial experience.
