Condition Monitoring Analyst
Work Location: Across Pilbara Sites.
Roster: 8:6 (day shift only)
The key role of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Condition Monitoring Analyst (CMA) is to lead the daily condition monitoring activities across FMG’s HME fleet.
Through routine analysis of the HME condition monitoring data and strong engagement with site teams, the CMA mission is to predict asset failures and guide the HME maintenance teams to get the right maintenance done at the right time.
The CMA will also ensure the condition monitoring data is readily available in the HME Asset Health systems with the expected quality.
Part of the role is also to identify, facilitate and take part on specific improvement initiatives related to HME Asset Health technology and processes.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Analyse a wide range of indicators coming from three main areas of the condition monitoring program:
- Lubricant analysis - Include results from oil & coolant samples taken in all compartments of all assets.
- Electronic data – Alarms and trends from all assets, are accessed remotely and displayed live in ergonomic dashboards.
- Manual Condition Monitoring data - Combines a range of measurements conducted manually by technicians during maintenance activities.
- Trigger appropriate actions to predict and prevent failures, rectify potential issues, and ensure effective asset maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain condition monitoring data to ensure data accuracy and quality remains at a high standard.
- Identify, and support the development and implementation of improvement opportunities related to HME Asset Health systems including the optimisation of condition monitoring tools & techniques.
- Facilitate and take part on practical rollout of predictive and condition-based maintenance improvement initiatives deployed on sites.
- Continually search for ways to streamline and simplify maintenance and conditioning monitoring processes.
- Work closely and develop strong engagement with HME maintenance teams.
- Promote engagement with internal and external stakeholders in the business through clear, concise and effective communication.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Mechanical or electrical trade qualification or Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical or similar disciplines is essential
- 3-5 years mining experience in a mobile maintenance environment
- Condition monitoring experience in HME environment
- High level computer literacy including MS Office suite
- Knowledge of HME assets systems in operation at FMG sites
- Knowledge of EAM software including SAP
- Knowledge of maintenance processes & systems in mobile maintenance environment
- Lubricant analysis certification level 1 minimum
