Job Description:

A Postdoc Researcher position is available in the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment (ESSIE) at the University of Florida. The postdoc researcher will be a member of an interdisciplinary team to understand the Eco geomorphic interactions that cause the degradation of salt marshes and oyster reefs. Responsibilities include model development, conducting numerical simulations of flow over emergent vegetation canopy and oyster reefs, field observation and data analysis.

Expected Salary:

$60,000 annually.

Minimum Requirements:

Ideal applicants will have a PhD degree in civil, coastal, or environmental engineering (or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated potential to conduct research as part of an interdisciplinary team. Prior experience in computational fluid dynamics modelling, scientific programming of numerical methods, and data analysis are highly desired.
