About the role:
As a key part of the finance team, the Senior Insights Analyst delivers small and large projects across the organisation, to a dedicated internal client group including the Marketing, Media and Customer Engagement teams, with the objective of achieving greater efficiency and better solutions to business problems. Some of the key functions of the role include:
- Ensuring data is analysed into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations that will improve decision making and help drive business performance;
- Communicating and delivering complex analysis and concepts to key stakeholders and the broader business by creating ‘data stories’ to drive engagement and provide accurate narrative on key business processes and outcomes;
- Adapting to new situations and drives change and innovation;
- Developing and evolving appropriate metrics and tools to provide reports and analysis that leads to actionable strategic insights;
- Mentoring and supporting other analysts in the team and working collaboratively to create innovative solutions.
About you:
Ideally you have experience working directly with internal stakeholders to identify what they are trying to achieve, and align work efforts and outcomes to support achieving those objectives.
Preferably degree qualified (minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, finance, computer science or other relevant discipline) and have at least five years’ experience in a similar role. Some of your qualities will include:
- Having demonstrated advanced level SQL or other relevant equivalent skills;
- Be an excel guru;
- Experience using business intelligence systems such as PowerBI or Tableau;
- The ability to demonstrate strong logic and the ability to explain complex analysis in an easy to understand way;
- Strong critical reasoning and the ability to question traditional thinking;
- Collaborative and consultative style whilst being able to take initiative and work independently if needed.
