Job Description:

Fortescue is now consistently producing over 180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead as it diversifies its business to become an integrated, global green energy and resources company.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.

Title: Mine Geologist

Work Location: Iron Bridge. Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8 days on and 6 days off; FIFO ex Perth or DIDO Port Hedland

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mine Geologist to join the Operations Planning team at Iron Bridge. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of new, large and deep open-pit greenfield operations.

This permanent position within a fast-paced work environment is offered on an 8:6 roster with a competitive remuneration package. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, your focus will be to ensure that all mine geology functions are carried out to a high standard, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate achievement of mine production targets. The role requires excellent interpersonal, leadership and time management skills.
