Job Description:

The Biostatistics Analyst III serves a key role for analyzing and managing pain related research in the Department of Emergency Medicine and collaborative sites at the University of Florida Jacksonville. This position is part of the UF Pain Assessment and Management Initiative (PAMI) with a mission of advancing innovation and safety in pain education, patient care and research and reports to the Associate Chair of EM Research and the principal investigator for PAMI. PAMI encompasses data for 4 programs and 6 research studies focused on alternatives to opioids, pain patient safety, a pain coach educator model, implementation science, pain health disparities and pain pharmacogenomic research.

  • Collaborates with PAMI investigators to lead the design, planning, and implementation of data analysis and data management plans including statistical approaches to data analysis. Leads the development of data collection tools or surveys to support PAMI related projects. Serves as lead analyst and subject matter expert on projects.
  • Co-authors manuscripts and co-writes grant applications with PAMI team and department.
  • Leads the development of presentations, publications, and other communications; provides educational seminars to faculty, residents, students and research staff.
  • Interprets data and results, communicates those in a clear manner in both written and other visual formats including infographics.

A hybrid work schedule will be considered; however employee must be available to travel to Jacksonville, FL on a weekly basis for in-person team meetings.

Expected Salary:

$70,000-$85,000

Minimum Requirements:

Doctoral degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of related experience; or a Master's degree in an appropriate area and five years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in REDCap, working with multidisciplinary teams, pharmacogenomic studies, implementation science or cost effectiveness study designs.
