Work Location: Solomon
Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of trade-based personnel to success. Working in our new state of the art workshop that has recently been completed, you will be responsible for maintaining our Ancillary fleet which includes a range of Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment (Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Floats).
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively demonstrating a positive team-based culture through coaching, mentoring and engaging whilst striving for zero harm
- Assist in embedding systems and processes with the maintenance teams
- Adherence to the weekly maintenance plans both in field and at workshop facilities
- Breakdown and planned support for both maintenance and daily service requirements in the field
- Using SAP to raise/approve notifications, close out work orders, ensure time confirmations and cause codes are accurately captured as per work execution process
- Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigation in BMS
Education and experience:
- Previous mobile maintenance supervisory experience in a mining environment with proven ability to coach, mentor and train team members
- Experience working on Ancillary equipment including Dozers, Graders, Loaders and Floats
- Ability to identify fleet reliability issues and work with reliability team to resolve
- Good understanding of the work management processes and relevant Mining & HSE Regulations
- Ability to undertake quality risk assessments
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP highly desirable
