Title: Compliance Specialist – Marine Projects

Work location: Perth based (Hazelmere)

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Marine Department whereby we will develop and test Marine Vessels powered by green fuels

The Compliance Specialist works with areas of the business that are responsible for green ammonia and green hydrogen new build vessel design, development, and operations. New build vessels are expected to be a mix of carrier type vessels and floating storage solutions.

Working with the Program Manager, the position will have overall responsibility for all class and regulatory requirements for the safe technical design and development of a new build program

Working with other departments, the position will also be involved in developing appropriate infrastructure for loading and offtake of ammonia and hydrogen for the new build vessels.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with safety and regulatory compliance for shipping and offshore operations, innovative design, a strong collaborator, and be an effective communicator.
