Job Description:<\/th>	UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking\u202fan\u202fintermediate level e-Learning Specialist to\u202fjoin e-Learning Support, a unit within UFIT.<\/p> Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida\u2019s innovative and inspirational community.<\/p> e-Learning Support\u202fprovides assistance to\u202ffaculty, staff, and students with e-Learning tools on campus, such as Canvas, VoiceThread, and Qualtrics. Assistance is provided via phone and ticket system.\u202f <\/p> Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:<\/p> Troubleshoot, analyze, and recommend appropriate solutions on client issues with e-Learning tools\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f <\/li> Provide expert referral of problems to vendors or computing service providers on campus\u202f <\/li> Interact with clients and service providers by phone, email, ticketing systems, chat systems, and web-based tools\u202f <\/li> Test new educational technologies as they become centrally supported and assist with rollout plans and decision-making process\u202f <\/li> Provide training for faculty, staff, and graduate students on the use of the learning management system <\/li> Collaborate with different units across campus to help improve e-Learning support processes<\/li> May be temporarily assigned to assist with additional instructional technology support needs within Academic Technology\u202f <\/li><\/ul> About UF Information Technology <\/strong><\/h3> The UF Information Technology division is comprised of eight departments reporting to the Vice President & Chief Information Officer. Minimum Requirements:<\/th>	Associate degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational\/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).<\/p><\/td><\/tr>
Preferred Qualifications:<\/th>	The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:<\/p> Experience in higher education <\/li> Knowledge of administering, building courses, and\/or providing user support for course management systems (especially Canvas) <\/li> Experience providing technical user support in a higher education setting, including in-depth diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving <\/li> Familiarity with varying learning technologies <\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>
