About the role
The Associate/Professor in Applied Mathematics will, under broad supervision, provide academic leadership in research, teaching, and community engagement in the discipline of applied mathematics including data science. The incumbent will use their expertise in mathematics to provide leadership in the study of applied mathematics. The incumbent will have a significant funding track record. They will be expected to take a strong leadership role with Early Career Researchers and Middle Career Researchers in mathematics related areas. The Associate/Professor will advance the College in its reputation as a centre of excellence in education and research, nationally and/or internationally, and advance the development of mathematics and data science within the university.


About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an exceptional communicator and experienced researcher, with a strong track record of establishing effective research collaborations with external national and international partners. Furthermore, you will be able to demonstrate:

A PhD in Mathematics, or equivalent qualification is also a requirement of this role.
