An opportunity is now available for an emerging or established academic to join a dynamic team of professionals within the College of Science and Engineering, based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas.

What you can accomplish in the role

Undertake teaching and research within the Information Technology discipline, in addition to providing administrative, marketing and outreach support for both the academic group and the wider University. The incumbent will build on their teaching and research profile that complements strategic commitment to digital innovation through undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Information Technology, Computer Science, Internet of Things and Data Science, as well the intended application thereof to Marine Science, Agriculture/Aquaculture, Geoscience, Health and Business domains.

What you will bring to the role

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Information Technology will be an emerging or established academic with demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with local, national and international industry and to identify and develop opportunities for innovation-driven partnerships is also inherent to the position. The incumbent should have PhD qualification in either Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent, and have proven track record in research publications and in attracting research grants.
