The Role and the Team:
Reporting to the Manager - Occupational Therapy Services, this is a junior position which will provide you with the opportunity to rotate across all clinical caseloads including medical, surgical, rehabilitation and orthopaedic inpatients, orthopaedic outpatients, community clients and paediatrics. You will assess, plan and carry out therapy programs in accordance with organisational policies and professional code of conduct, for clients referred to the Occupational Therapy Service.
You will be required to work across the North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital in North West Tasmania; as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team of 21 members consisting of the Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior and Junior Occupational Therapists and other ancillary staff.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term full time day work position working 76 hours per fortnight until February 2023
- Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $68,089 - $98,027 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Post-graduate qualifications relevant to the delivery of Occupational Therapy Services.
