Supervisor – Excavator Maintenance
Work Location: Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R – FIFO Ex Perth, Busselton or Karratha
Working a family friendly 2/2 roster, this role will be accountable for Supervision, safety, planning and organisation of direct personnel & fleet, as well as provision of maintenance functions for operational Excavator Fleets and major Excavator shutdown maintenance outages.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Demonstrate leading safety & cultural values
- Supervision and Leadership of personnel for safe, effective & timely maintenance of Excavator fleet
- Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigations in BMS
- Identify & implement safety initiatives
- Assist in identifying & developing SWI'S
- Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
- Adherence to business plans & objectives
- Ensure the department achieves or exceeds budgeted safety, reliability & availability performance
- Ensure all team activities are aligned with overall business objectives
Qualifications and skills required:
- Heavy Mobile Equipment Trade Qualification
- Experience working with Caterpillar 6030, 6040 Excavators, Liebherr R9250, R9400, 996B Excavators, Cummins desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role, maintaining primary Excavator fleets in a field environment
- Previous supervisory & leadership experience, with the ability to effectively solve problems
- Written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills
- Proven commitment to safety & culture
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office & SAP
