Position Title: Senior Process Control Engineer<\/strong><\/p>

Work Location: Across Various Pilbara Sites<\/strong><\/p>

Roster: 8\/6 FIFO<\/strong><\/p>

Summary of role<\/strong><\/p>

The Senior Process Control Engineer, reports to the Process Control Superintendent and is responsible for supervising the process control team for the day to day running of the process control assets, building and developing a strong team culture, and identifying areas for improvement across the Process control assets, wider team and operational management of the process control function<\/p>

Key accountabilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>

• Safety Practice - anticipate and proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a zero-harm environment through the design and formulation of technical solutions<\/li>
• Design and develop new control systems including testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems to ensure optimal utilisation<\/li>
• Liaise with relevant departments to provide technical solutions for operational support and projects<\/li>
• Technical Knowledge \u2013 Continue to develop processing and process control knowledge & skills to deliver continuous business improvements<\/li>
• Build cooperative relationships to design new equipment and\/or systems in conjunction with internal and external experts<\/li>
• Support the ongoing maintenance of control systems assets including PLCs, servers, network and communication equipment, and field devices<\/li>
• Ensure the plant control system availability for production to ensure that OPF meets or exceeds business targets safely.<\/li>
• Lead the PCS team towards achieving business KPIs<\/li><\/ul>

  Qualifications and skills required:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (electrical\/instrumentation\/control systems\/ mechatronics or similar)<\/li>
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Processing Plants<\/li>
  • Very Strong Communication Skills<\/li>
  • Significant knowledge of fixed plant Control Systems \/ Wet Plants<\/li>
  • PLC Programming (DFB, UDFB, FB, ST and SFC)<\/li>
  • Communications (Devicenet, Profibus [DP \/ PA], Ethernet, Modbus)<\/li>
  • Control systems design experience, ideally with exposure to Rockwell, Emmerson (GE), and Schneider<\/li>
  • SCADA (GE-IP Proficy CIMPLICITY)<\/li>
  • GE-IP Historian \/ CSense \/ Server and Client architecture<\/li>
  • VSD knowledge (ABB and Vacon)<\/li>
  • Experience with Electrical Schematics and P&ID Drawings<\/li>
  • Experience in Continuous Process Control Plant Improvements<\/li>
  • Management and mitigating of production delays<\/li>
  • Leading Highly Technical Teams<\/li><\/ul>
