Communications Specialist - Site
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 4D/3R
Working as part of the Chichester Hub Operations and Corporate Affairs team, your role is to support and contribute to the delivery of the communications strategy for the Chichester Hub through the following deliverables:
Key accountabilities will include:
- Support delivery of engaging and innovative content across internal and external platforms to support the recruitment objectives for the Chichester Hub, aligned with diversity targets
- Develop social media content for use across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to support the Christmas Creek external communications strategy and recruitment objectives
- Support photography and video production requirements to create high-quality digital content for both internal and external publication
- Prepare content for internal communications channels to support project and operations milestones, team and management profiles and employment opportunities
- Provide graphic design support to deliver high-quality and innovative communications material that support communications objectives
- Maintain the Fortescue and Christmas Creek brands in all communication material
- Ensure all communication avenues are utilised and operational across the site
- Regular site travel is required
Qualifications and skills required:
- 3+ years’ experience preferred
- University degree in relevant discipline
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to write engaging content for digital communications channels
- Experience using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using digital software to deliver video production and editing (inc. filming) preferred
- Knowledge of social media best practice and requirements for each platform
- Experience and understanding of mining industry and operations highly preferred
- An understanding of the requirements and standards for an ASX listed organisation preferred
