Principal Business Development - Manufacturing

Principal, Manufacturing Business Development<\/strong><\/p>

Work Location: <\/strong>Perth<\/p>

Roster: <\/strong>Monday to Friday<\/p>

Fortescue Future Industries is currently undertaking a rapid expansion and are seeking applications for a business development professional to support Fortescue's portfolio of green energy manufacturing partnerships and joint ventures.\u202f<\/p>

Key accountabilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>

• Support the identification and development of commercial relationships and joint ventures for key products<\/li>
• Provide strategic advice, market research, business intelligence, and fit for purpose business models in line with our manufacturing strategy and targets<\/li>
• Provide commercial support in the negotiation of term sheets with partners, translation of those term sheets into agreements and manufacturing operations<\/li>
• Lead and support due diligence, and coordinate and contribute to relevant exercises and reports<\/li>
• Review and update the manufacturing strategy and operational plans<\/li>
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the relevant products and markets<\/li>
• Engage with stakeholders to frame and analyse key decisions and gather critical data<\/li>
• Working closely with Principal Commercial in the development of business cases, and subsequent input to board papers and executive reports<\/li>
• Other ad hoc tasks as required to support the Manufacturing commercial function<\/li><\/ul>

  Qualifications and skills required:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Experience in carrying out due diligence, market research, commercial analysis, commercial negotiations (including term sheets) particularly in licensing and joint ventures, structuring transactions, etc<\/li>
  • A commercial and analytical mindset with an eye for detail<\/li>
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>
  • Degree in a suitable field (e.g. business, finance, law); MBA or post-graduate qualification is highly-regarded but not essential<\/li>
  • Highly motivated and proactive, comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a complex environment<\/li>
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills<\/li>
  • Resilient with an ability to manage competing deadlines<\/li><\/ul>
