Job Description:<\/th>	Full-Stack Application Development<\/strong> \u2022 Gathers requirements for applications from end-user, testers, and other stake holders \u2022 Develops, deploys, and maintains applications using a variety of programming languages and frameworks \u2022 Develops, deploys, and maintains databases used to store application data \u2022 Coordinates development of applications with student consultants \u2022 Reviews server and application logs to find and correct problems Linux Administration<\/strong> \u2022 Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments in compliance with UF and HWCOE policies, standards, and procedures \u2022 Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware \u2022 Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain acceptable uptime \u2022 Analyze and resolve faults found in system logs, vulnerability notices, and security tickets Training\/Supervising Student IT Consultants (SIC)<\/strong> \u2022 Teaching student IT consultants (SIC) about software development and administration methodologies \u2022 Coordinate work duties of SIC in the development of systems in accordance with best practices Administrative and Other Duties<\/strong> \u2022 Participates in HWCOE and UFIT committees and user groups as needed \u2022 Stays informed about current trends in server and workstation management by attending seminars\/classes\/meetings\/etc. and reading technical periodicals, websites, and other related media \u2022 Author and issue reports summarizing day-to-day activities, ongoing projects, planned projects, and major goals as requested (minimally once a year) \u2022 Document web applications and Linux administration tasks as needed and requested to insure continued operation of the department \u2022 Provide general IT support within the UNIT<\/p> Other projects and assignments as assigned by the supervisor.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
Expected Salary:<\/th>	$68,200 - $75,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience<\/p><\/td><\/tr>
Minimum Requirements:<\/th>	Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational\/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>
Preferred Qualifications:<\/th>	Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident as work on\/with ITAR data is associated with this position. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of: - Linux Service administration - Apache2 - Samba 3 - BIND9 - ISC DHCPD - Postgres database server - Oracle database server - MySQL database server - OpenLDAP (automounts, accounts, groups, and netgroups) Web Application Development - Django - php Basic understanding of: - Active Directory (distribution groups, user management, host management) - Ansible skills (playbooks, roles, tasks, inventories) - Networking skills (VLANs, virtual networking, OSI model, firewalling)<\/p><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
