Salary:€55,000 up to €82,400 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working patterns available

About the Department

Our Capital Projects teams are responsible for developing and building our Renewables Assets, both onshore and offshore with a focus on maximising the value of our current pipelines, whilst pursuing new markets.

What is the Role?

The successful candidate will lead on multiple Onshore wind farms projects within the SSE Ireland portfolio that are in the pre-construction or the construction phase of development. The successful candidate will be taking overall responsibility of the project to be planned and delivered safely, on time and on budget. Responsibilities will also involve the preparation of Business Case and other due diligence documents necessary for the Final Investment Decision, the selection of contractors and management of contracts, the management of compliance with all regulatory obligations, the engagement with the internal and external stakeholders including local community and reporting.

You shall be required to engage collaboratively to obtain the optimum level of service from supporting colleagues in matrix type organisation that provides specialist services to multiple projects ranging from planning consent to Wind Analysis and Finance modelling to name only a few.

What do I need?

The successful candidate will ideally have;

- Experience in complex, multi-disciplinary projects

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of multi-disciplined individuals, agreeing realistic individual goals and objectives that fit in the overall projects' goals and objectives

- Experience in dealing with authorities, pressure groups and statutory stakeholders

- Ideally have a Honours Degree or equivalent

- Proven track record in project management (preferably in energy projects)

- Previous exposure to land related matters e.g. lease, easements

- Previous exposure to commercial negotiations

- Capacity to deliver high quality work on a consistent basis

- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative

- Excellent reporting skills and written communication

- You should be capable of leading a team, consultants and contractors in an engaging positive way

- Capacity to adopt a methodical and logical approach to tasks

- Team player capable of building relationships and trust with colleagues and external parties including JV partners

- Good oral and written communication adapted to various audience; Ability to clearly present key messages
