Base Location: Greater London and Southeast regions

Salary: £28,000- £37,900 depending on experience + company car/cash allowance, performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

What is the Role?

Due to further grown, we’re now seeking a drive BEMS Pre-Commissioning Engineer to join our team in our Southeast region.

In this role you’ll be tasked with pre-commissioning the installation of BEMS and Control systems in line with Customer design requirements and those outlined by the Project Manager within agreed timescales.

You would typically undertake the following key pre-commissioning activities:

- Use wiring diagrams and specifications to accurately interpret requirements

- Undertake safe isolations where required

- Perform physical wiring checks as required

- Pre-commission/set to work motive power to AHU’s, Variable speed drives (VSD’s), Pumps, Boilers etc

- Point to point controls wiring between the field device, BMS Control Panels and DDC controllers, on manufactures systems, such as Trend, Siemens & Tridium

- Diagnose wiring and control panel defects, carry out troubleshooting as necessary and determine the appropriate corrective action

- Ensure control devices are fitted/set up and located correctly

- Set/stroke valve and damper actuators

- Complete documentation, such as point to point commissioning schedules, snag sheets and daily reports

- Programming of Modbus/Mbus metering devices

- Support the commissioning engineer in commissioning activities

What do I need?

You’ll possess previous experience as an electrician/electrical apprentice or equivalent, who is looking to progress their career into BEMS Controls. Full training will be provided where required and the successful applicant will have the ability to progress further, within our highly skilled team.

If you’ve already completed an apprenticeship or trainee role in BEMS/building controls, this could be the next step in your career.

Excellent communication skills and report writing are essential to maintain strong relationships with, both team members and customers.

Due to the nature of this role, it’s essential you possess a full driving licence and a strong understanding of the Greater London/Southeast regional area.
