Control Room Operators

Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead as it diversifies from a pure play iron ore producer to a green renewables and resources company.<\/strong><\/p>

The company is scheduled to commence production at its Iron Bridge magnetite mine in mid-2022.<\/p>

Iron Bridge is Fortescue\u2019s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.<\/p>

Iron Bridge represents Fortesuce's latest operation culminating in a new OPF\/CHF, new technologies and camp facilities.<\/p>

Fortescue is currently seeking expressions of interest from mining experienced Control Room Operators with relevant experience within the Ore Processing Facility (OPF) fixed plant.<\/p>

Control Room Operator <\/strong><\/p>

Work Location: Fortescue\u2019s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.<\/strong><\/p>

Roster: 8:8<\/strong><\/p>

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, this position will be key to the daily running of all large scale equipment within the Fixed Plant area.<\/p>

Key accountabilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>

• Efficient operation of the ore processing plants.<\/li>
• Monitoring and auctioning events in the operation that affect production or quality.<\/li>
• Timely and illustrative reporting of bottleneck and breakdown events.<\/li>
• Regular communication with site-based personnel in the plant.<\/li>
• Regular liaison with management for production and target purposes<\/li>
• Contributing to a team environment<\/li><\/ul>

  Qualifications and skills required:<\/strong><\/p>

  • High safety standards with showing commitment to our company safety values<\/li>
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn new things<\/li>
  • Working knowledge of work flow systems - SAP, Pronto.<\/li>
  • Fluency in Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.<\/li>
  • Experience with tetra radio communications.<\/li>
  • Experience operating large crushing screening processing plants including beneficiation assets, cone crushing circuits, associated conveying systems, pumping circuits, and utility plant components<\/li>
  • Experience operating SCADA systems \u2013 Citect, Simplicity, and Meridian<\/li><\/ul>
