Line Operations Trainer
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
This is an exciting time at Fortescue with innovation projects changing the way we work in mining. To support this, we are currently seeking an Operations Trainer with substantial experience to join the Mining team at FMG Christmas Creek. This position will provide training for our mining team with strong focus on improving our Mining operating skills in an Autonomous environment.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values.
- Undertake specialist training of equipment operators with a focus on optimising interaction with Autonomous Haul trucks
- Monitoring of operator’s skill levels in order to deliver training plans.
- Assist with the implementation of improvement projects for operational efficiency
- Will be required to assist the Mining team with equipment operation during fly in days and periods of restricted manning
Qualifications and skills required:
- Demonstrated experience working in an Autonomous Mining environment
- Highly experienced in the operation of large production machinery including track dozers and excavators
- Knowledge of the Minestar system
- Good communication skills and the ability to influence others
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be advantageous but not essential
- Current Australian C Class Drivers Licence
